Managing Anxiety

Anxiety isn’t just in your head. It can take over your whole body, leaving you frozen or feeling like you’re constantly in overdrive. Whether it sneaks in quietly or hits like a wave, anxiety has a way of affecting everything, from your thoughts to your sleep to how your body feels.

You might:

  • feel like your body is constantly on high alert

  • have a sense of impending doom, leaving you frozen and unsure of what to do

  • feel your heart beating fast, hands sweaty, trouble speaking, or getting dizzy

Examples: Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Phobias, PTSD, OCD

How We Can Help

  • Understand your source(s) of anxiety and its impact on your wellbeing and personal goals

  • Reduce physical symptoms of anxiety such as easing heart rate and muscle tension

  • Offer healthy ways of managing stress and anxiety

  • Move forward with calm and confidence

Our Approach

  • Take into account the whole-person/body not just your thoughts and emotions

  • Music and mindfulness to help ground and relax

  • Music listening to help tell your story, reframe negative self-talk, and empower you to accomplish your goals

  • Talk about and explore musical improvisation to slow down and practice difficult situations
