Grief and Loss

Grief doesn't happen in a straight line, and it doesn't have a deadline. Some days it's quiet. Other days it shows up uninvited, in a song, a smell, an empty chair at the table. You might be functioning fine on the outside while carrying something heavy that nobody else can see. Whether you're navigating a recent loss or one that's followed you for years, there's space here to feel it, name it, and carry it differently.

You might:

  • start crying uncontrollably, wherever, whenever

  • not know how to deal with the deep and unexpected emotions

  • feel overwhelmed by the many, often complicated, aspects of grief

Examples: Anticipatory grief, Disenfranchised grief, Unexpected loss, Pet loss, Traumatic or unresolved grief, Loss of identity/self
